Our aim · Why TEL exists
Built on discipline.
Driven by purpose.
Proven under the gun.
Most things are made to be good enough. TEL started on the opposite belief — that “good enough” is a decision, and so is everything better.
We set the standard because ambition deserves things that match it. Made deliberately, held to one line: nothing ships unless it earns its place.
It starts with aftercare — because looking after the work is the work — and it grows the way it began. Chapter by chapter, each one earned before it’s named. Same standard. Same refusal to rush.
TEL isn’t a brand you buy once. It’s a standard you choose.
Where it was proven
TEL was built in a tattoo studio, not a boardroom. Five artists, seven days a week, hundreds of people through the chair every year — Squires Ink, Orchid Avenue, Surfers Paradise. Seventeen years under the needle, still to this day — head to toe: a full back removed by laser and rebuilt over three days straight with two artists, and a chest piece rebuilt over five full-day sessions.
A working studio sees what nobody else does. Fresh work walking out the door, settled work walking back in — hundreds of times a year, the same mistakes, the same products, the same disappointment.
Most aftercare is an afterthought grabbed off a chemist shelf by someone who has just spent thousands on artwork they intend to wear for life. The first fortnight gets done properly. Then it stops — which is why work fades in year three, not month one.
TEL is new. The work behind it isn’t. Years of formulating and refining, proven on the founder’s own skin and against the work walking back through that door every week. It was built to be the thing that couldn’t be bought.
The standard
No line extensions, no filler, no product that exists because there was a gap on a shelf. Work out what the thing is actually for, build it to do that properly, and publish exactly what went into it.
We live and breathe tattoos — we know chemistry. Both ingredient lists are published in full — every ingredient, in order, exactly as it reads on the jar. If something is in there, we can tell you why it is in there.
One price, one standard — no sales, no starter sizes, no half measures.
Where it’s heading
Chapter One is the Ritual — aftercare, because looking after the work is the work.
It doesn’t stop there. A signature scent is in development. So is a daily moisturiser — the everyday jar, for as long as you own the piece. Training and threads follow. What comes after that gets named when it’s ready, not before — which is why they arrive as chapters rather than a catalogue.
People who hold themselves to a higher standard shouldn’t have to drop it at the studio door. That’s the whole idea — one line, held everywhere, in everything you put your name to.
Welcome to the elite standard.
