The Ritual
Restore Balm + Recovery Cream · 60 ml each · one sealed set.
The Ritual Duo doesn’t come apart. Not as a bundle deal, not as a starter pack — as one sealed system, formulated as a pair and sold as a pair.
Step one — Restore Balm. Richer · Sealing · Protective. For fresh ink. Thin layer, clean dry skin, morning and night.
Step two — Recovery Cream. Calm · Condition · Refresh. For the second stage. A lighter daily cream that sinks in fast to hydrate and soothe while the work settles — the months most people skip.
How to use — the night, the morning, the second stage
The night. A few hours after the session: wrap off, a gentle wash, and nothing on it. Let the skin breathe overnight.
The morning after. Restore Balm, thin. Keep it thin, keep it regular, through the first days.
The second stage. Recovery Cream, morning and night, through the months it takes to settle. Most people stop at week two. Don’t.
Always follow the aftercare your artist gives you — they know what they put in your skin.
What’s in it
Both lists in full, exactly as they read on the jars.
Restore Balm
Petrolatum, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Cera Alba (Beeswax), Microcrystalline Wax, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Curcuma Longa Root Oil, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract.
Recovery Cream
Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, PEG-20 Stearate, Panthenol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Tocopherol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Chrysanthellum Indicum Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Bark Extract, Opuntia Streptacantha Stem Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, CI 19140.
Restore Balm is built on petrolatum. The most effective occlusive there is — it holds the skin’s own moisture in while fresh work closes over. High-purity grade, sealed in a 60 ml jar, and one of nine ingredients. The full reasoning is in The Healing Guide.
The cream carries the conditioning half: glycerin and sodium hyaluronate to hold water, shea butter and panthenol to soften and comfort, tocopherol, and a botanical set led by purslane, aloe, houttuynia and baicalensis.
Heavy work and full-day sessions — the layered protocol
Big work is not a big version of small work. A full day in the chair, a multi-session rework over old ink, a full back, a solid black fill — the ink is driven in harder and the skin is worked for hours at a stretch, and it takes far more punishment than a short sitting ever delivers. The aftercare card you get handed is written for a small tattoo. Heavy work needs its own protocol.
Critical stage — both, layered. Recovery Cream first, Restore Balm straight over the top.
Closing stage — Restore Balm alone. Thin layer, morning and night.
Second stage — Recovery Cream alone. Weeks out, step down. Daily cream, until it’s settled.
Built to a standard
Formulated in Australia. Proven in a working studio. Manufactured to our specification by our production partner.
Every batch is tested, not claimed: heavy metals not detected · no pathogenic micro-organisms · pH 6.7 measured on batch · three-year shelf life · ISO 22716 and FDA GMP held at the manufacturing site.
Both ingredient lists are published in full, on the jar and on this page. Nothing hidden behind “and other ingredients”.
One product. One price. No sales, no starter sizes, no half measures.
From the founder
“I’ve looked after work with everything the market sells, and most of it made promises my skin never kept. So I built the thing I could never buy.”
— Benny Aquilina · seventeen years under the needle, still to this day · owner, Squires Ink, Surfers Paradise
Aftercare is usually made at a distance from the chair. This was made at the counter of a working studio, by the person who owns it — and it goes on his own skin before it goes on anyone else’s.

Why two
Two stages. Two formulas.
Fresh work needs sealing. Settling work needs conditioning. The balm is too heavy for the second stage. The cream is too light for the first.

Two textures. Two jobs.
Step one · Days 1–14
Restore Balm
Richer · Sealing · Protective
A concentrated balm that lays down a protective layer and holds moisture in while the work closes over. Thin layer, clean dry skin, morning and night.
Step two · The months after
Recovery Cream
Calm · Condition · Refresh
A lighter daily cream that sinks in fast to hydrate and soothe while the work settles. The stage most people skip. Don’t.
Heavy, detailed work uses both, layered. Seventeen years in the chair says one product can’t do it. That is why they’re sealed together.
The chemistry

From the chair
The artists it was built alongside.
“What I recommend to my clients is formulas that work in hydrating the skin and look after my work long after it leaves the studio. Because this is my passion.”

Questions
Answered straight.
If it isn’t covered here, email info@telcollection.com.au — the founder reads them.
That’s exactly what it’s built for. Restore Balm goes on from day zero — the thinnest possible layer on clean, dry skin, matte not shiny. Always follow the aftercare instructions your artist gives you first. The full day-by-day routine is in The Healing Guide.
Restore Balm carries roughly the first two weeks while the skin closes. Once flaking is finished and there are no open patches, step down to Recovery Cream daily. That’s the jar that carries the piece through the months it takes to settle. It earns its keep on healed work too — freshening older pieces and helping colour read fuller.
Because the routine is the product. The first two weeks decide how the piece settles. Everything after that decides how it looks in a decade. Selling the balm on its own would sell you half a job — so it’s one set, one price, never sold apart.
Patch test first: a small amount on the inside of your forearm, wait 24 hours.
Worth knowing before you start. Restore Balm contains lavender, chamomile and turmeric oils. Recovery Cream is preserved with phenoxyethanol and methylparaben. If you have a known fragrance or essential-oil allergy, that is the part to check.
If you have a skin condition or a known allergy, check with your doctor or pharmacist before use — and always follow your artist’s instructions on fresh work.
Free standard shipping Australia-wide, dispatched from Surfers Paradise within 1–2 business days, tracking emailed. Express Post is $15 at checkout. Unopened, sealed sets can come back within 30 days. Opened products can’t, for hygiene reasons. Full detail in Shipping & Returns.
